Laser-cut eyewear hinges and case
A course where I got to learn so much through our visiting faculty Sahil Thappa. Here I had come up with an idea of making my concept of laser cut hinges a universal design that has less wastage. These hinges resolve the problem of 'breaking' and buying a pair of 'new glasses' and 'waiting' for it. Hence in the case of laser-cut hinges, the frame is the same, the side temples are the same, only the hinge needs to be replaced when broken. In this case, the user can customize their own glasses choosing the kind of frame and temples they want. This will also reduce wastage. The casing is also another simple design I thought of as the regular eyewear cases shut too fast whereas this is easy to manage in case of opening and closing of the case.
